Every winter I have the "yes I really windsurf when it's this cold" conversation about fifty times with the people I come across in daily life. I explain that with a drysuit and all the accessories that it's just as comfortable as skiing (for the most part.) Some of my friends and associates have moved past the point where they thought I was crazy and now take it for granted that I windsurf no matter how cold it is. I wish it were so. But it's 14 degrees out. So here's a note to Russ, Carol, Massimo, Remy, Kurt, my dentist, my parents, the guys at the wine shop, work friends, Andy, Bunty, Joe, Tillerman and all my blogging buddies:
It's too cold to windsurf.
What I wouldn't give for a nice 38 degree day and 25 knots of wind…
