The Peconic Puffin

A blog about a group of windsurfers and other water sports enthusiasts, and their friends. Established 1993.

No kidding.  Stretching a little, though:  My physical therapist Jill (treating me for a lame wing) wants me to try windsurfing for an hour and then report back on the experience.   Perhaps something like:

“I got decent air on port, but had some trouble planing out of jibes.”

Maybe that’s not what she is interested in.

I’m supposed to take frequent breaks and keep my right arm extended (no pumping, no winding up for jumps.)   My wife thought it would be cool if Jill prescribed a sail size.

Is that total water time? Or does that take into consideration off water breaks? I mean, you could spread it out to a whole days sail if you were diligent with your time keeping.

Christian, you make a good point. Unfortunately I am also supposed to get ice on the arm not long after the period of exertion, so I will not be pulling a CD and stand around yacking for the bulk of the sesh (Love you CD…how is the leg coming?)
