"A new windsurfing shop in Manhattan" I wondered? Then "could it be a sailboat store?" No and No. At the site of what used to be Paul Smith's menswear shop (where I once interviewed Dee Dee Ramone) North Sails now appears to be a fashion brand. Oh well. I saw a surf shop in Kansas last month. Yep.

I’d be surprised if there was enough business. I remember they made good sails, but still.

Taking cues from Mistral, Gaastra and Simmer. Fashion first baby. It does a brand good!

Silly Michael, there would have been ballons in the shape of flying pigs with N/S logos if the new store were to have sold sails, mast bases and extensions. Let’s hope this does not mean a fashionable end to North.

Seems weird to me. When Harley Davidson started selling fashion accessories 20 whatever years ago, it tarnished the brand in my eyes. Not that I ride a motorcycle, but still.

Comme des Garçons for the water peeps.
I will go there.
