I hadn’t sailed in eight months. A van that kept breaking, family stuff, hernia surgery, dare I say it…golf…for one reason or another it was the longest stretch of shredlessness since I started windsurfing in 1992.
Saturday morning’s 30 knot gusts were less than ideal for a return to the water, but wow did it feel great when I got locked in! My windsurfing muscles had been neglected and I was toasted after 90 minutes of lit 4.2. Still it was great to be back out there! Also on the water: El Scotto, Christian, the Brothers Natalie, and assorted wingers and kiters. A good time was had by all.
