Not knowing much about your area of the world I gather that when you say ‘Peconic Bays’ they are actually called that. Am I right??

There are two Peconic Bays (Great Peconic and Little Peconic) that connect. An interesting fact about the Little Peconic is that Albert Einstein used to sail on it regularly in a little sailboat while conducting “thought experiments”.
There are other bays in the area that we sail (Gardiners, Shinnecock, Flanders, Mecox, Napeague, Tiana etc) as well as lots of great spots elsewhere on Long Island. When the Peconic Puffin was started my friends and I were only sailing the Little Peconic Bay (details on Peconic Puffin history are in the “About” section.)
