Trouble in the Land of the Giants? According to a report in the East Hampton Star, 5 to 10 acre floating oyster farms are being set up just outside of Napeague Harbor. It appears from the map…that just the two eastern most plots are the problem. wonder if they can move them or just not farm there? i am willing to share….are they?

Not sure why they’d put the farm in such an exposed spot at the eastern most end of the diagram. I’d imagine It’ll just get torn up in a storm.
Is there a way to track the progress of this? -

was just thinking….. these are oyster farms… hopefully the plots are just marked at 4 corners with pots ?
or are they roping off the whole area……
the oysters shouldn’t care if we are screaming along at the surface ??
